Caitlin Amos had the opportunity to present her research in Barcelona at the Ocean Vector Winds Science Team Meeting in April. According to Caitlin, "My research compared the offshore transport of coastal water in the California Current System due to winds and mesoscale eddies.
The Marine Science department was used as a client for Yen-I Lee's 3510 Public Relations Research course. This effort was spearheaded by our very own Christof Meile in order to evaluate how we can better communicate our awesome program here to everyone else in the academic community!
Bill Miller participated in the HOT- 300 cruise in Hawaii recently.

Hilde Oliver's article titled "Exploring the Potential Impact of Greenland Meltwater on Stratification, Photosynthetically Active Radiation, and Primary Production in the Labrador Sea" was published in AGU's Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans today!
The UGA Ocean Initiative Club is a student-run club that meets in the Marine Science building. This week, their aim was to bring attention to waste students discard in areas on and around campus.
