Image: The Georgia Climate project was formed in order to outline some key issues surrounding climate change and its effects in Georgia. This team, which was a joint collaboration between Emory University, Georgia Tech and The University of Georgia, identified 40 ideal research questions to help policymakers and practicioners have a better idea of these effects and how to start taking steps to address the issue. Our very own Patricia Yager, who was a co- author on the roadmap, stated: "We see this as a really important first step. Now that we have outlined these questions, we hope to see researchers across the state digging into these in much more detail." This is an exciting step into making climate change better understood by those with the power to make things happen. Congratulations to Professor Yager and everyone else that put so much time and effort into this project! You can view the project's official press release here. If you would like to read the published roadmap yourself, please check it out here. The Atlanta Journal Constitution also did a piece on this, which you can read here.
