From December 7th-29th, many of our researchers and grad students will be participating in a research cruise in the Guaymas Basin. The Guaymas Basin is a frighteningly unique portion of the Mid- Ocean Ridge.

Our office will be closed from 3pm, Wednesday November 23rd, and will re-open at 8am on Monday, November 28th. Happy Thanksgiving from us to you!

Faculty members Mary Ann Moran and Aron Stubbins are first authors of publications that were recognized as top-cited papers in the Limnology and Oceanography 60th Anniversary Special Collection issue.

Presenting the wonders of marine life to Athens-Clarke County residents at the annual "Scary, Oozy, Slimy Day" held at Sandy Creek Nature Center, Marine Sciences graduate students brought specimens and tanks to engage residents with the importance of preserving our oceans.
