Dr. Clifton Buck’s research group explores the chemistry of elements which are present in seawater at extraordinarily minute concentrations. Termed “trace elements,” they are present in the complicated milieu at concentrations of parts per trillion. Despite these tiny amounts, sea life is significantly impacted by trace elements.
