Image: Undergraduate students visited the University of Georgia Marine Institute at Sapelo Island as part of the course MARS 1010L, Introduction to the Marine Environment. The students participated in multiple research projects during the field trip, under the guidance of faculty members Renato Castelao, Christof Meile and Patricia Medeiros. The new lab option is an optional replacement for semester long weekly labs, and allows students to complete that portion of the course in a weekend. Spaces will be limited, so early registration is encouraged. The field trip will be offered annually, contact Cat Mills (catmills@uga.edu) for more information.
