Shiyu Rachel Wang successfully defended her MS thesis on “Aquatic metabolism in a salt marsh dominated estuary - the O2 and CO2 journeys”. Her work combined measurements of inorganic carbon in tidal creeks with the quantification of water exchange and air-sea gas fluxes to establish a carbon budget in the Duplin River, Sapelo Island.
