Image: Marine Sciences faculty member Renato Castelao has been awarded a $400,000 grant from NASA Physical Oceanography program. He is a new member of NASA’s International Ocean Vector Winds Science Team, which provides scientific and technical input with regard to science requirements related to NASA’s ocean vector wind products. His project will explore the role of wind forcing on sea surface temperature frontal variability in Eastern Boundary Current Systems. Castelao is also a member of NASA's Ocean Surface Topography Science Team.
