Please join us Monday April 3 at 12:40 pm for the UGA Department of Marine Sciences seminar. Ola Lundemo, an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona, will present his work entitled Shark Movements and Ecotourism: Approaches to Conservation and Natural Resources. If anyone would like to meet with the speaker after the talk, please email me to set up a meeting (atgreer@uga.edu).

Abstract:

This presentation will cover Ola Lundemo’s professional and scholarly work, including his expertise on shark movements and how such knowledge can be applied in promoting wildlife conservation through ecotourism. Ecotourism is a promising and growing field within applied marine biology. Ola will share about his related teaching and international field programs, followed by a discussion on how his expertise and experiences can contribute to the UGA Department of Marine Sciences.
